On March 2, Burlington Northern Santa Fe named Fritz Draper vice president of business development and Steve Bobb, VP of business unit operations and support to succeed Draper. The railroad also named Kevin Kaufman group VP, agricultural products, to succeed Bobb, effective March 22. All three will report to Executive VP and Chief Marketing Officer John Lanigan.

Draper will be responsible for economic development and e-business, as well as BNSF's Mexico business unit, supply-chain and customer solutions, and corporate support for BNSF Logistics. He previously served as assistant vice president, then VP of intermodal operations.

In 1996, Bobb joined BNSF as VP, minerals business unit, and later was named VP, chemicals business unit. He will be responsible for intermodal and automotive hub operations and planning, and rail-car planning and distribution, demurrage, storage and other services.

Kaufman most recently served Louis Dreyfus Corp. as senior VP and North America region managing director. He served the commodities trading firm for 25 years in various domestic and international capacities.
