Duos Technologies Inc. now has 30 of its artificial intelligence models in operation for an unnamed Class I customer located in Mexico. The AI models represent a majority of those available in the company’s AI detection catalog, all of which work in conjunction with the FRA's mandated inspection points and are intended to give the railroad’s designated inspectors an enhanced toolset for them to identify actual or potential mechanical defects. Additionally, three Class Is recently met with the company in Jacksonville, Florida, to review the program and provide input, Duos officials said in a press release.

ENSCO Inc. announced it has formed a new subsidiary, ENSCO Tecnologias do Brasil LTDA, that will serve Brazilian and South American rail customers by providing advanced railway inspection technology and services designed to help ensure safe and efficient railway operations. To support the growth and expansion of South American railways, the subsidiary will have access to ENSCO’s U.S.-based engineering, research, testing and training capabilities at the Federal Railroad Administration’s Transportation Technology Center in Pueblo, Colorado, that ENSCO operates. ENSCO’s existing Brazilian customer base serves major freight and passenger railroads, including Rumo, MRS Logistica, Vale and SuperVia Trens Urbanos.

IntelliTrans and AllTranstek have partnered to develop a digital process for rail-car maintenance tracking. AllTranstek monitors rail cars for required maintenance and testing and audits railroad and contract shop repairs. Automating maintenance tracking lets customers know when cars need to be repaired or updated, keeping them in safe working condition and in compliance with regulations and industry standards, IntelliTrans President Ken Sherman said in a press release. AllTranstek’s system has been directly integrated with IntelliTrans’ Global Visibility Platform, which records all maintenance, repair and operational costs, fleet data and lease information within a single system.
