Rail News: Railroading Supplier Spotlight
RMI recently upgraded its RailConnect Transportation Management System (TMS) to include new report and profile options for the 330 short lines and regionals that use the system.
The updated TMS enables users to create a train performance report and features other reporting capabilities designed to help users improve work lists, manage incidental charges, improve yard visibility, and plan and schedule trains. RMI also updated a car order module to automatically create freight-car orders based on data included in inbound Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) waybills.
Later this year, RMI plans to unveil another TMS upgrade that will be compatible with the latest rail EDI standards, the company said.
