Court Square Capital Partners has sold its stake in RailPros to Littlejohn & Co. LLC. Court Square originally acquired RailPros in July 2020. Headquartered in Irving, Texas, RailPros provides outsourced safety management, design and engineering, inspection, site and program management, utility observation and training services to rail operators, utilities, state departments of transportation and contractors working near rail infrastructure. "Over the past five years with Court Square we have fortified the foundation of RailPros while expanding across North America. Through this, RailPros has continued to deliver an excellent service experience to our clients, and we are excited to be ushering in the next phase of growth for RailPros together with the Littlejohn team," said RailPros CEO Kendall Koff in a press release. Lincoln International and Piper Sandler & Co. served as the financial advisors to RailPros on the transaction. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Wabtec Corp. and Rio Tinto SimFer, a joint venture between the government of the Republic of Guinea, Rio Tinto, and Chalco Iron Ore Holdings, marked the unveiling of the first Evolution Series ES43ACi locomotive for TransGuineen Railway. It is part of SimFer’s 2024 locomotive order to support the rail operations for the Simandou high-grade iron ore project, located in the Southeast of Guinea and is Africa’s largest mining and infrastructure development project, according to a Wabtec press release. The event also commemorated the first and largest export order of heavy-haul locomotives assembled by the Wabtec plant in Marhowra, India. Wabtec’s ES43ACi locomotive is equipped with a 4,500-horsepower Evolution Series diesel engine, designed and manufactured in the United States. It provides best-in-class fuel efficiency, and proven performance in high-temperature environments.
