UP's ShipCarsNow expands auto transport services

ShipCarsNow, a subsidiary of Union Pacific Railroad, yesterday announced it was expanding auto transport services for large-volume commercial auto shippers. The new services are aimed at helping customers save costs and attain higher efficiency through more co-load opportunities, shared marshaling facilities and new transport hubs.

"This extended market reach requires no additional effort from customers. ShipCarsNow makes it easy to ship cars by rail through seamless execution supported by excellent customer service, and responsive and timely communications," said Marty Coalson, president of ShipCarsNow.

First established by UP in 2006, ShipCarsNow counts auto manufacturers, finance companies and rental car companies among its clients.
