Operation Lifesaver Inc. (OLI) has released its 2025 annual report, which includes audited financials and details about the organization's two national observances and public awareness campaigns.

In 2025, just under 2,000 Operation Lifesaver Authorized Volunteers reached more than 1.3 million people through in-person events. OLI also hosted the first-ever Emergency Notification System Sign awareness day and made new public service announcements highlighting transit safety and RV travel, OLI officials said in a press release.

OLI welcomed 410 new volunteers and four new state coordinators for OLI programs in Colorado, Minnesota, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia. The organization reached 6,228 first responders through its peer-to-peer railroad investigation and safety course and generated 16.6 million social media impressions.

"I am extremely proud of this organization and our efforts to make a difference," said OLI Executive Director Rachel Maleh. "But our work does not stop. We are committed to sharing the rail safety education message and encourage everyone to join us in not only raising awareness, but also in choosing safety every day."

OLI reported total 2025 revenue — including contributions, grants and store royalties — of $2.8 million. The organization posted program-related expenses of $2.4 million, split between $1.6 million in grants and about $758,000 in other program expenses. Administrative expenses totaled $243,614 and fundraising expenses were $15,655. OLI's net assets at the end of 2025 totaled about $1.8 million, up from about $1.6 million at the start of 2025.
