The Posner Foundation of Pittsburgh has renewed its annual grant funding commitment to rail safety advocacy group Operation Lifesaver (OLI).

The funding will sustain ongoing projects, including a competitive grant program for public education activities with OLI state programs, OLI officials said in a press release. OLI did not disclose the dollar amount.

Previous funding from the foundation has: supported the creation and dissemination of messaging and materials about rail-crossing and pedestrian safety; augmented state Operation Lifesaver programs; expanded national rail safety volunteer efforts; and expanded the rollout of the OLI's Railroad Investigation and Safety Course.

“The support of the Posner Foundation of Pittsburgh since 2019 has been crucial to our efforts at the state and national level, helping us share the rail safety message with millions of Americans both virtually and through in-person activities,” said OLI Executive Director Rachel Maleh in a press release.
