The Plasser PTT2000 is a tamping machine designed to be used in conjunction with conventional rail gangs or tie replacement gangs. The PTT-2000 is fitted with two specially designed, four-tool tamping units (eight tools total) to tamp the tie. Its compact design and light weight are designed to allow flexible transport via highway truck.
