The Plasser GWM250 is a rail surface and corrugation grinding machine. The patented Plasser grinding system is the only system available which offers a spark-free operation utilizing water supply for lubrication of grinding stones, the company says. This system isn't subject to fire hazards caused by rotary action grinding machines. The GWM250 is equipped with two grinding units and is capable of grinding plain track, switches and crossings. Grinding is performed by means of an oscillating, scrubbing motion and the continuous movement of the machine. The machine is designed with a control cabin on each end for machine movement and grinding operation.
