The GURU® DL2.1 Freeze Protection Plug from ThermOmegaTech® protects diesel electric locomotives from costly freeze related damage by automatically draining the cooling system before freeze conditions occur. Designed specifically for harsh railroad environments, the valve continuously monitors cooling water temperature and snaps open at its set point (standard offerings available at 35°F or 40°F) to purge the system before damage can occur. Operation requires no external power, electronics, sensors, or operator intervention, providing reliable, self-actuating performance in the field.
