A railroad diesel engine injector developed by Interstate Diesel features a patented ECOTIP® and patented check valve design that atomizes fuel so efficiently users are getting near total burn, according to the company. Independent tests show the ECOTIP® Superstack™ injector provides fuel savings of 3 percent plus, the company says. The injector also is capable of reducing emissions of smoke by 75 percent, hydrocarbons by 38 percent, carbon monoxide by 89 percent and particulate matter by 44 percent, the company says.
