Plasser American Corporation: Continuous Action Switch/Production Tamper - 09-2X DYNACAT

Plasser's 09-2X DYNACAT is a heavy-duty, high-speed continuous action switch and production tamping machine with integral stabilizer. Tamping, lifting and lining units are mounted on a satellite frame attached to the main frame. The satellite tamps and indexes while the main frame, with stabilizer system, moves smoothly and continuously, the company says. The cabins, engine and main components are installed on the main frame. The 09-2X DYNACAT's design and construction allows production rates of up to 4,200 feet per hour. New features of the 09-2X DYNACAT are the 2-tie tamping units, enabling either two ties to be tamped or only one tie.
