Dayton-Phoenix has been building auxiliary generators for locomotive applications for more than 50 years. The cast-iron end frames provide vibration dampening, bearing support and minimize shaft alignment problems. The company says the generators contain more copper than most, run cooler and longer, and meet critical ambient and temperature rise specifications. All current standard AC and DC generator sizes from 10 kW to 24 kW are available. All designs are based on railroad, military, ocean vessel and NEMA standards.
