AAF International manufactures AmerKleen intake air filter housings for retrofit on EMD, GE and on some Alco locomotive applications. AAF filter elements will not support combustion, are lightweight and are not susceptible to damage during installation, says the manufacturer, adding that changeouts require fewer and less costly filters. Since the seal is in the front of the housing, an improper fit or air bypass is virtually impossible, the company says.
