Plasser American Corporation: Continuous Action Tamper – 09-3X C-W DYNAMIC TAMPING EXPRESS

Plasser American Corporation

The Plasser continuous action tamper 09-3X C-W DYNAMIC TAMPING EXPRESS is a heavy-duty, high-speed, combination production track tamping and dynamic track stabilization machine specially designed for concrete and wood track territoryThe machine is capable of traveling 50 mph on level track and negotiating curves up to 14.5 degrees (120 meters) in travel and 10 degrees (180 meters) in work mode. During the actual work process, the satellite tamps and indexes three ties at a time while the machine's main frame moves smoothly and continuously at a speed that is determined by the operator. The 09-3X C-W DYNAMIC TAMPING EXPRESS is also capable of tamping one tie at a time, making it more versatile for different track conditions. The operator’s cabin, the travel cabin, power unit, main hydraulic components, electronic systems, etc., are installed on the main frame. Advantage of this is having less vibration and stress transmitted to the main part of the machine which reduces maintenance and down time. The high-production capability of the 09-3X C-W DYNAMIC TAMPING EXPRESS is especially important for high density railways, where track availability is minimal. The tamping and dynamic track stabilization process is carried out concurrently with only one operator. Everything that is tamped is stabilized during the work process. The 09-3X C-W DYNAMIC TAMPING EXPRESS Plasser Continuous Action Tampers have been working successfully on major world-wide railway systems since 1983, providing optimum “return on investment” of track maintenance expenditures.
