The AMBER is lightweight and is easily foldable, enabling easy transportation, the company says. The operator is able to collect the following track geometry parameters: track gauge; cross-level; and twist; distance. Measurement is processed in real-time and measurement values are saved on a PDA with a clear display designed for easy reading. Data transfer is a straightforward process — simply connect the PDA to a PC via the supplied docking station, “drag and drop” data from PDA to PC and use a spreadsheet or other program for further analysis.
