Rail RFP: Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro)
Metro is soliciting Industry Review & Comments on its draft Request For Proposal (RFP) for the modernization of fifty (50) P2550 Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs). The purpose of the Industry Review is to familiarize prospective proposers with Metro's commercial and technical requirements for the P2550 LRV modernization Program and to obtain feedback from the industry prior to releasing the RFP solicitation. The Industry Review documents are in draft form and may not represent the final RFP document. Metro will review and assess the industry comments and recommendations. Following this review period, Metro intends to advertise and release a formal RFP.
An Industry Review conference will be held on December 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Metro's Division 20, Red Line Yard located at 320 S. Santa Fe Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90013, 2nd Floor Conference Room #243. Immediately afterward a site tour/vehicle walk-through at Metro’s Division 21 Gold Line Main Yard located at 1800 Baker Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012 will take place. Additionally, Metro will allow individual inspections of the P2550 railcar scheduled (in advance) in 2-hour increments on December 5, 2018 and if necessary, December 6, 2018.
Industry Review comments are recommendations are due in writing, using the response from provided herein, or on a similarly indexed format. Please deliver an original response, three (3) hard copies, plus an electronic version on Flash Drive to the address below, not later than 2:00P.M. (Pacific Standard Time) on Monday, January 7, 2019 to: Metro, 9th Floor, One Gateway Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90012-2952.
