dFuzion Inc. has released version 1.9 of its rMetrix® ride quality monitoring software. Incorporating GPS technology and custom-designed accelerometer sensors, rMetrix enables inspectors to assess ride quality, comfort and safety in real-time from a standard laptop computer.New features of the latest version include: · MS Windows® 8.1 and 10 compatibility,· faster new inspection setup process and· compatibility with updated GIS shape file data for stations, rails, and crossings available from the United States Department of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics Website Customers with an active rMetrix Annual Maintenance Plan (RAMP) will receive this version of software for free. The rMetrix website (www.rMetrix.com) contains the official release notes of the new features of rMetrix 1.9. rMetrix® is designed for the individual inspector, as well as for organizations large and small. With rMetrix, inspectors can monitor, collect, and analyze geo-spatially correlated ride quality data and make safety and maintenance recommendations in real-time. Organizations can use the technology to analyze and correlate ride data over time and geography to determine data trends.
rMetrix®-A is designed for those organizations who need to continually monitor ride quality and track and vehicle safety conditions with limited inspectors or resources. Using rMetrix-A for continuous track inspection activities can help identify and prioritize locations for corrective and preventive maintenance, as well as the detection of vehicle and track abnormalities that may impact passenger comfort, cargo integrity, equipment reliability and operational safety.
