Wieland Electric: New sizes of selos WRT Series terminals

Wieland Electric Inc. has expanded its selos WRT Series high-current ring-lug terminals with new sizes designed to accommodate conductors up to 600kcmil with ratings up to 510A/1000V.

The new terminals provide maintenance-free, vibration-proof connections for high current transmission applications, including railway, heavy equipment, industrial and utility applications. The selos WRT Series terminals are available in five sizes with the following cURus ratings: WRT Series 35: (AWG 14 – 1/0)/M6 bolt, 130A/1000V rating; WRT Series 70: (AWG 14 – 3/0)/M8 bolt, 175A/1000V rating; WRT Series 120: (AWG 10 – 250kcmil)/M10 bolt, 310A/1000V rating; WRT Series 185: (AWG 8 – 500kcmil)/M12 bolt, 380A/1000V rating; and WRT Series 300: (AWG 6 – 600kcmil)/M16 bolt, 510A/1000V rating.

“The new selos WRT Series terminals provide power systems design engineers with a safe, maintenance-free, vibration-proof connection point for high-current conductors,” said Martin Lalonde, an applications engineer for Wieland Electric, in a press release.

All of the terminals are designed to mount on standard TS-35 DIN rails and come with nuts and integrated spring washers. Each terminal can accommodate two cable lugs per connection point and feature a touch-proof cover with a test opening for safe voltage measurement. The WRT series also includes cross connection jumpers to provide simple and reliable high-current potential distribution solutions, according to Wieland Electric.
