Schaefer: 1600W converter modules and battery chargers

Schaefer Inc. has introduced the C/B 4500 Series of 6U DC/DC and AC/DC converter modules and battery chargers that deliver up to 1600 Watts of output power. Utilizing industrial grade components, the compact and robust design provides an efficient, space-saving solution for the most extreme environments in industries such as rail and transit for railway controls, communications equipment, and beyond (onboard and wayside), as well as in military applications, alternative energy applications, and process control systems.

The units feature:
    • three output powers 900W, 1200W and 1600W,
    • nine standard DC input voltage ranges from 10VDC up to 800VDC,
    • single outputs in ten standard ranges encompassing 12VDC-400VDC,
    • single-phase 115VAC or 230VAC (with or without PFC),
    • three-phase inputs of 3x200, 3x400 and 3x480VAC,
    • DC-DC and AC-DC models have remote sense capability, and
    • wide operating temperature of –20ºC to +75ºC or –40ºC to +75ºC
