SKF: Bearings

SKF offers an array of bearing designs for all types of railway rolling stock, from freight cars to high-speed trains, diesel and electric locomotives, diesel multiple units and electric multiple units, passenger coaches, and mass transit vehicles.

Optimized bearing solutions include logarithmic roller profiles, polymer cages, E2 seals and synthetic greases “all combine to provide bearings that have significantly reduced friction torque and operating temperatures, 
resulting in longer life of the bearing and lower lifecycle costs,” the company says.

SKF offers a full line of AAR-approved journal bearings under Certificates 23 and 30, drive system bearings and “the latest innovations for passenger and high-speed applications,” the company says.
