Ritron: LoudMouth wireless public address system

Ritron Inc. has unveiled the LoudMouth® wireless public address (PA) and mass notification system. The devices can be used to transmit messages from the maintenance building to the rail yard and other locations.

The LoudMouth system is a "cost-effective replacement for worn-out hardwired PA systems," Ritron officials said in a press release. Wireless receiver technology enables coverage in isolated areas where running wire is difficult or impossible.

Programmable volume settings allow tailoring configuration for various environments. The receiver works with other analog business-band two-way radios in either the VHF or UHF frequency band.

In addition, built-in relays allow the use of an optional strobe light for visual alerts. The product includes a message auto-repeat feature, as well.
