Interrail Inc. Perspective: End-to-end implementation

Interrail Inc. (which is comprised of Interrail Signal, Interrail Engineering and Interrail Power) is helping railroads implement PTC by providing unprecedented work, from our engineers and programmers to testing and field crew. Interrail is arguably the best in the industry for complete end-to-end PTC implementation.
We currently have 18 employees that make up our PTC group at Interrail Engineering. Our team of designers, engineers, programmers, testers and project managers take pride in helping implement this critically necessary technology. We also take pride in our track record for not only working hard to meet the goals set by our customers, but also for helping other companies meet their goals as well. On several occasions we have helped other contractors solve problems, lending a friendly hand and keeping in line with our “no rivalry” policy that was set forth by Interrail’s founder Jim Kelley.
Since beginning construction phases, Interrail Signal has installed approximately 3,000 miles of wayside signaling for wayside signal improvements on most of Norfolk Southern Railway’s operating divisions alone. These improvements make their signal systems PTC ready for implementation. With 180 field personnel, we continue to operate 7 days a week in an effort to meet the 2018/2020 goal to fully adopt the technology. Our field personnel performs all FRA-required tests as well as all in-service testing with close observation, support and guidance from NS representatives. Interrail Signal has the most state of the art construction equipment in the industry and can reliably install any type of signal system project regardless of size or scope.
Interrail Power has provided, and continues to provide, multiple AC meter services both overhead and underground as well as multiple types of AC power transformation to meet all of PTC’s enormous power requirements. Our field personnel installs power poles, underground meter services or any type of transformers or disconnects for any application.
Interrail Inc. has been on the forefront of PTC implementation and continues to provide quality, safe, reliable work in all areas of railway train control.
