ITL: Expanded temp-controlled service

Infinity Transportation Logistics LLC (ITL) has recently added to its service offerings and is now providing expedited temperature-controlled domestic intermodal service from Washington State and Oregon to Miami and Toronto, company officials said in a press release.

Overall, ITL provides eastbound temperature-controlled door-to-door domestic intermodal service from Washington State and Oregon to the following Midwest and East Coast destinations or locations: the greater Chicago area; western Michigan; southern Wisconsin; northern Indiana; New York City and its boroughs; Buffalo, N.Y.; Chambersburg, Harrisburg and Philadelphia, Pa.; the greater Baltimore area; Boston and Springfield, Mass; the greater Atlanta area; and Jacksonville and Orlando, Fla.

ITL's expedited door-to-door domestic intermodal temperature-controlled service departs from/returns to intermodal ramps in Spokane, Wash., Portland, Ore., and Seattle, Wash., six days per week.  The company’s service radius is about 160 miles to or from intermodal ramps in Spokane, Portland and Seattle, and can pick up and drop off product in many parts of Washington and Oregon.

Door-to-door transit times are now four to five days to/from the Midwest and six to seven days to/from various destinations on the East Coast — nearly as fast as long-haul trucks. Because of the improved transit times, ITL has seen increased interest and usage from fresh produce shippers.

ITL uses state-of-the-art, 53-foot refrigerated containers to move fresh produce, frozen food and other refrigerated products eastbound from Washington and Oregon to the Midwest and East Coast.

For return westbound service from the Midwest and East Coast to Washington and Oregon, ITL is able to haul various refrigerated and temperature controlled products or dry products.
