Bourque Logistics: RAILPort 4.0, a web-based report tool for industrial shippers

Bourque Logistics recently introduced the latest version of RAILPort®, a web-based report tool that allows users to quickly customize and distribute reports of their own design and requirements. In addition, the RAILPort® report writer offers pre-written templates for each application, templates that provide the foundation to build customized reports.

RAILPort® 4.0 includes a streamlined dashboard that the company says allows for quicker navigation to reports most often used, and new report search functionality.  Additionally, the dashboard allows for "effortless navigation" through the various Bourque Logistics' modules including: RAILTRAC®, YardMaster®, eBILL®, RAILAcct®, RateServer®, TRANSPay® and others, the company says. Meanwhile, improved notification badges make it easy to identify which elements require attention.

The new version also includes a report designer and enhanced automatic email scheduling capabilities. "Executive-quality" reports can be customized from templates then saved to a PDF, Excel, HTML, or CSV file for distribution. Upgraded automatic email report scheduling provides users the ability to view schedules corresponding with their current report, and allows for quick and easy schedule editing.

RAILPort® allows reports to be easily distributed to customers via email in Excel, PDF, live link, CSV or HTML formats. The Live Link functionality provides customers and/or colleagues with the ability to refer back to that same link with up-to-date reporting information each time the link is clicked. Additionally, the "share" feature is a collaborative tool among colleagues to use each other's report criteria to build their own customized report. The alert function allows a user to set email alerts based upon report criteria. And: The map function integrates with Bing maps to show where rail cars are located, geographically speaking.
