Sperry Rail's Adaptive Test System (ATS) helps networks enhance the safety of their railroad operations by allowing for high-frequency track testing. The system’s adaptable design supports multiple other technologies, including the company’s crushed head detection system, ultrasonic testing and RCF Monitoring. The data collected by the ATS can be used to proactively schedule maintenance, which helps improve safety and lower costs, according to Sperry. In addition, a "Metro Cart" version is available for tighter curve radius. Etihad Rail DB in Dubai has been an early adopter of ATS and has observed several benefits from it, Sperry officials said. The flexibility of the system enables the rail operator to test more track per day. ATS also can handle the extreme environmental conditions that Etihad Rail operates in.
