Watco designated 'most-loved' workplace

Watco has been certified by the Best Practice Institute as a "Most-Loved Workplace."

Watco employees were surveyed on their experiences working at the company, including how their their personal values align with the company's; the level of collaboration in the organization; their feelings about respect and achievements; and the firm's future.

The certification qualifies Watco for consideration in the annual Top 100 List of America's Most Loved Workplaces that will be published in Newsweek magazine. Those rankings are expected in October, Watco officials said in a press release.

Companies designated as "best" places to work tend to produce three to four times better customer service, employee performance and retention than other companies, according to BPI research.

"We work hard to maintain a culture where people are valued," said Watco CEO Dan Smith.
