TTCI sets March dates for annual research review

Association of American Railroads' Transportation Technology Center Inc. (TTCI) recently scheduled its 9th Annual AAR Research Review for March 9-10, 2004, in Pueblo, Colo.
On March 9, TTCI plans to present technical programs updating several research projects and initiatives, including:
• "Improving the Productivity of Railroads," which focuses on heavy axle-load research, wheel/rail-asset life extension, improved car components and car performance, and bridges; and
• "Improving the Safety of Rail Operations," which centers on improved rail inspection, car-health monitoring and wayside detection, and performance-based track geometry.
On March 10, TTCI expects to conduct tours of research facilities and demonstrations on FAST/HAL Track Walk.
