RTA's crosstie grading seminar coming to Indiana in July

The Railway Tie Association (RTA) will conduct its 2007 Tie Grading Seminar July 22-24 at Tangent Rail Corp.’s Terre Haute, Ind., plant.

Attendees will receive instruction and perform field exercises covering a variety of topics, including untreated wood deterioration, storage and handling, species identification, defects and grading, and treating and technology.

The registration fee ($495) includes the seminar, take-home materials, a reception on July 23 and dinner on July 23.
