advertisement
The National Railway Labor Conference (NRLC) recently launched www.raillaborfacts.org, a Web site that provides information on U.S. freight railroads’ records and goals while they engage in national bargaining with rail labor unions, according to BNSF Railway Co.’s “BNSF Today” Web site.
The NRLC site also provides information on railroads’ technological advances, negotiating overviews, the bargaining process and topics of interest to the rail industry and unionized employees.
Formed in 1963, the NRLC represents railroads in national collective bargaining with the 13 major rail labor unions through the National Carriers’ Conference Committee, which is organized under the NLRC. Issues in the current bargaining round include wages, work rules and benefits. The conference also represents member railroads in dealing with labor relations, court matters, congressional committees and other governmental bodies.
