advertisement
On July 25, Norfolk Southern Corp., and state and local officials will hold a groundbreaking ceremony in Columbus, Ohio, for a $65 million intermodal facility near Rickenbacker International Airport.
To be operational next year, the Rickenbacker terminal will serve warehouses, airfreight facilities and others within a Foreign-Trade Zone. NS will provide $25 million to help fund the project’s first-phase costs; federal, state and local governments will fund the remainder of the 300-acre facility.
The $100 million project includes costs to build roads and utilities.
