LA MTA seeks comments on Exposition light-rail project
advertisement
Next month, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA MTA) will hold three open houses to gather feedback on the Final Environmental Impact Statement/Report for the Exposition light-rail project.
The nine-mile, eight-station line would run from downtown L.A. to Venice/Robertson boulevards in Culver City. The authority is considering a future extension to Santa Monica.
To be funded with local dollars instead of federal New Starts funds, the $640 million project is scheduled to be complete in June 2010. LA MTA plans to award a design and construction contract early next year.
