Rail News: Rail Industry Trends
The American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) has lined up the keynote speaker for its Sept. 11 chairman’s luncheon: independent transportation industry analyst and consultant Tony Hatch.
A Progressive Railroading columnist, Hatch will address attendees at the annual luncheon, which will be held during AREMA’s 2007 annual conference and exposition Sept. 9-12 at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.
Hatch previously served as a senior transportation analyst on Wall Street for more than 20 years. He recently advised the Association of American Railroads and the rail industry’s “E-Policy” Team on selecting a strategy consultant and assisted with the Steelroads project.
A non-profit organization, AREMA aims to help develop and advance technical and practical knowledge and recommended practices for the design, construction and maintenance of railway infrastructure.
