advertisement
On March 24, Florida East Coast Railway began moving trailer shipments for BJ's Wholesale Club from a new Jacksonville, Fla., distribution facility to south Florida.
Officially opening March 31, the facility will be BJ's sole distribution point for all Florida stores, according to a prepared statement.
FECR plans to deliver trailers directly to seven stores and provide overnight service. The 351-mile regional expects to move between 12 and 16 daily shipments, five days a week.
Formed in 1984, BJ's is an eastern U.S. warehouse-store chain.
