Rail News: Rail Industry Trends
American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) recently added a link on its Web site's (www.aslrra.org) home page to provide members information on their U.S. representatives, senators and staff, and updates on railroad-related federal legislation.
Called CapTrak, the link is designed to enable members to express their opinion to congressmen via email.
After clicking on the link, users would enter their ZIP code in the box next to "Elected Officials" and click "Go." CapTrak then would provide users detailed information on congressmen, including their voting records, stance on bills and how they can be contacted.
ASLRRA plans to post special alerts on CapTrak when association officials believe certain events warrant members' attention.
