CTA to evaluate service on Chicago's south side

advertisement

Later this month, the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) will conduct a series of community workshops to gather information on the travel patterns of residents living in Chicago’s far south side and south suburbs. The workshops are part of a current CTA study on rail and bus service in the area.

CTA officials will provide an overview of the study, which analyzes major traffic generators, other traffic connections, and demographic and development patterns to determine the transit needs of area residents. Participants then will be divided into groups to develop potential service plans. Ideas generated at the workshops will be reviewed by CTA staff in conjunction with the study.

CTA has conducted similar studies for the West Rogers Park and North Suburbs, South and North Lake Shore corridors, and, most recently, the west side and near western suburbs.
