CTA, I-GO launch joint card program
advertisement
Yesterday, the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) and I-GO Car Sharing launched a joint smart-card program aimed at providing additional travel options for commuters.
The program will provide passengers with a single card that can be used to access I-GO vehicles and ride CTA. A rider who signs up for a new individual membership from I-GO will have the option to participate in the program and link their I-GO membership to a Chicago Card Plus, CTA's electronic fare card. The CTA component will include the same account features as the standard Chicago Car Plus.
Currently, nine CTA rail stations have I-GO cars available. The agency plans to expand the cars to more stops later this year.
