CSXT opens London-area office to build European business
advertisement
CSX Transportation March 27 announced it had opened an office near London, England, to target and serve European shippers, forwarders and logistics managers.
The Class I plans to use its new European presence to support its increased international-freight focus and overall growth strategy.
The new office, by Peter Mills, director of international sales and marketing, is charged with promoting the railroad's range of North American services and strengthening the CSXT brand in Europe.
CSXT plans to partner with European service providers — including forwarders, ports and ocean carriers — to build and market services designed to link European and North American markets.
In addition to the London-area office, CSXT recently added a second office in Mexico, established South and Central American sales coverage, and created a domestic ports business-development team to work with transportation-service providers at 45 deep-water ports CSXT serves.
