CSXT boots up Web-based interchange performance measurement tool for short lines
advertisement
CSX Transportation recently developed an online tool to provide interchange performance measurements to short-line partners.
Accessible to registered users at ShipCSX (www.shipcsx.com), the tool offers an Interline Service Agreement (ISA) scorecard showing up to 12 months of CSXT's interchange delivery performance with a short line. In addition, an ISA scorecard graph shows CSXT-reported interchanges, whether the Class I met an agreed upon delivery window and a list of interchanged cars.
The tool is designed to help improve service at interchange points, reduce cycle times and improve equipment velocity. The application also will help CSXT and short lines better understand each other’s needs and attract new business to rail, said Len Kellermann, CSXT’s director of regional and short line development in a prepared statement.
