CPR supply-chain management subsidiary opts for Manugistics' software
advertisement
Canadian Pacific Railway subsidiary Tronicus Inc. Aug. 8 selected Manugistics Group Inc.'s software to enhance its supply-chain management and logistics services.
The software would enable Tronicus to deliver more technology-based services to its customers without requiring those customers to purchase different computer infrastructure to support program changes.
"[Due to] the large capital outlay normally associated with technology acquisitions, a number of companies would otherwise be unlikely to invest in the deployment of an enterprise level solution," said Carl Young, Tronicus president and chief operating officer, in a prepared statement.
Manugistics created and markets Enterprise Profit Optimization™ software, designed to simultaneously optimize a company's supply- and demand-side business processes.
