CN launches customized online shipment-status report tool


On July 28, Canadian National Railway Co. unveiled "My Reports," an e-business application designed to enable customers to electronically customize and schedule shipment-status reports.
Part of CN's "My Shipments" e-business tools, My Report enables users to receive proactive shipment status reports via email without logging onto CN's e-business site at Customers can obtain information on shipments with changed estimated times of arrival or schedule email reports up to 20 times per week in various formats, such as HTML, spreadsheet, text or PDF.

"My Reports now offers tailored information on the customers' desk when they want it," said Anita Ernesaks, CN vice president of eBusiness, in a prepared statement. "The ability to give our shippers and receivers customized notification of the status of their shipments is just one more example of our commitment to make it easier for the customer to do business with CN."
