Morrison Metalweld employees purchase company from venture capital firm

On April 7, Torent Inc. announced it sold Morrison Metalweld Process Corp. to a group of Morrison employees, including Executive Vice President Robin Eisenbrei. Terms weren't disclosed.

Serving Morrison since 1983, Eisenbrei assumed the role of president of Morrison Metalweld Holding Co. d/b/a Morrison Metalweld Process Corp.

She previously served as a secretary, and held several sales positions before being named vice president of national sales, and then EVP in 2001.

In 1979, venture capital company Torent purchased Morrison Railway Supply Corp., incorporated the company as Morrison Metalweld Process Corp. and relocated the firm from Buffalo, N.Y., to Youngstown, Ohio.

Morrison's services include repairing and maintaining track, frogs, crossings and switch points, and repairing crane rail, gantry and trolley-rail systems. The company also serves as a national sales representative for four rail-product manufacturers.
