AAR adds communications, government affairs staff


Association of American Railroads July 24 added four staff members to its Washington communications and government affairs departments.
AAR named Kelly Donley executive director for marketing, membership and outreach; Jennifer Macdonald, director of congressional affairs; and J. Anne Chettle and Michael McQuerry, managers of congressional affairs.
Donley previously served in marketing for Digital Commerce Corp., where she developed and launched a national marketing effort for government purchasing site StateGovCenter.com. She also spent 20 years with National Governors' Association.
Macdonald served as chief lobbyist for Arizona Department of Transportation. Her previous posts include district director for a House representative, special projects advisor for a senator, and various duties with House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on International Economic Policy and Trade, and Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration.
McQuerry previously served in the federal relations department for Holland and Knight LLP, prior to his stints as a senior legislative assistant for two House representatives.
Chettle served as director of public affairs/general counsel for High Speed Ground Transportation Association, after handling anti-trust cases for a Washington law firm.
