Updates from The Seneca Group, Diamond Phoenix and Fast Lane Transportation


• Thomas Loftus recently joined The Seneca Group L.L.C. as a principal and senior railway finance specialist. Loftus, who was as an independent consultant from 2006 through 2008, had served Genesee & Wyoming Inc. from 1996 through 2005 — first as vice president, then as senior vice president and treasurer.

• Paul Roy has been named vice president of marketing and product management for Diamond Phoenix, a material handling systems design and integration company. Roy, who most recently served as the company’s director of distributor sales, has more than 15 years of experience in the analysis, design and sale of automated material handling solutions.

• Fast Lane Transportation Inc. recently acquired an 80-acre intermodal crossdock and equipment depot to serve rail logistics providers, trucking companies and equipment leasing companies. Located off Interstate 15 about 30 miles north of a major intermodal rail hub in San Bernardino, Calif., the facility features three terminal buildings. The site offers 9,238 square feet of office space and 119,025 square feet of dock area; parking for trailers, equipment and employees; and 75 acres of yard space.
