Sacramento RT to consolidate services at new center



On Jan. 23, the Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) plans to open a new customer-service center. The aim: consolidate services to better serve passengers.

Ticket and pass sales, photo identification (I.D.) services, route and schedule information, and lost-and-found service will be available at the new facility, which is adjacent to the 13th Street light-rail station in downtown Sacramento. Previously, SacRT provided passenger services at three separate locations. Within walking distance of bus routes 5 and 6, the new center provides access to SacRT’s Gold and Blue light-rail lines, and features limited off and on-street parking.

“Instead of having to go to separate places for a photo I.D. or to purchase fare media, passengers can now go to one convenient location to have a majority of their customer service needs met,” said SacRT General Manager and Chief Executive Officer Beverly Scott in a prepared statement, adding that the consolidated center also offers “expanded service hours.”
