A Couple Of Real Pros

Angela Cotey wrote this month's cover story. It'll be the last piece she pens for us; Angela recently took a position with a Milwaukee-area publishing company. For the past 12 years, she has been a key contributor to Progressive Railroading. Angela has epitomized the word "professional" — she's a talented, conscientious team player. I've been proud to count her as a colleague. And I wish her all the best.

Meanwhile, Julie Sneider, who wrote the rail security feature, has been named senior associate editor. Another real pro, Julie has been with us the past four years and had served as associate editor. She's now our lead transit writer and, among her other responsibilities, will continue to helm our Rising Stars program. Know any railroaders under the age of 40 who are making a difference? The deadline to nominate them for the 2015 program is Feb. 13. For more information, contact Julie at 414-228-7701, ext. 517;
