Union Switch & Signal Inc. (US&S) recently named John McGee chief operating officer. He will be responsible for the company's signaling and train control, and automation and information systems business units.

McGee most recently served EMCOR Facilities Services as senior vice president of technology and knowledge services. He previously served Johnson Controls Inc. as vice president of operations and held various executive management positions at Asea Brown Boveri.

"John will be looking at our entire organization to find ways that we can further improve customer satisfaction and product quality, and sharpen our internal processes," said US&S President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Burk in a prepared statement.
