UP enlists Villarreal for board seat

Union Pacific Corp. announced Jose Villarreal will join the company’s board on Jan. 1. He is an advisor to law firm Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld L.L.P.
Villarreal previously was an assistant attorney general in the public finance division of the Texas attorney general’s office.
He currently serves on the boards of the PMI Group, First Solar Inc., New America Alliance and Center for American Progress.
