The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) recently appointed Trinity Railway Express (TRE) Chief Operating Officer Pete Sklannik to the Langston University Transportation Programs Intermodal Advisory Committee.
The committee comprises representatives from the freight and passenger rail, aviation, shipping and trucking industries.
During the past several years, Sklannik has participated in the Langston Summer Transportation Institute Program, an annual transportation education outreach program for disadvantaged students. The program is administered under the USDOT’s National Summer Transportation Institute programs, which aim to teach students math, science and technology skills associated with the transportation industry.
