The Reading, Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad (RBMN) recently made several management changes to better position the short line for anticipated growth over the next five years.RBMN named Tyler Glass executive vice president of operations; Dan Gilchrist, EVP of marketing and sales; Brian O'Neal, VP of transportation and safety; Justin Levan, VP of maintenance of way (MOW); and Wes Westenhoefer, VP of MOW quality control.Glass, who joined RBMN in 1990 as a conductor/engineer, most recently was VP of operations. He previously served the railroad as assistant general manager and general manager.Gilchrist became VP of marketing shortly after joining RBMN in 2000. He previously had a long career in marketing and sales at Conrail.O'Neal served Norfolk Southern Railway the past 13 years in operations positions. He has short-line and commuter-rail experience, including stints as GM of Watco Cos.' Yellowstone Valley Railroad and superintendent of terminal operations for the Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad.Most recently VP of MOW quality control, Levan joined the short line in 2004. He previously was an equipment operator and assistant VP of cost control.Westenhoefer most recently was VP of MOW. Since joining RBMN in 1997, he has served as a finance assistant, assistant director of finance and VP of asset management.RBMN operates about 300 miles of track in eight eastern Pennsylvania counties.
